UK Improve Terorist Alert Status

LONDON - Britain's transport network has increased its vigilance against the terrorist status of the level of "substantial"to "severe." Upgrading is done a number of mass transportation network, including airports and train stations in London.

Upgrading is done even though no intelligence warning of the threat of attack. The security officials said the change in status is only a precaution. Thus was launched the BBC on Friday (07/01/2011).



The threat of terror across the UK are already on the second-highest of five levels, namely "severe" since last year. That is, the possibility of an attack are relatively high. The highest level is "critical" when an attack is expected to emerge in the near future.

Under the vigilance level is widely established in the UK, there is also a level of vigilance for each of the sectors of public infrastructure. Level in one sector, namely public transport sector, have now been raised from "substantial"to "severe."

Level of vigilance in certain sectors are relatively common but rarely observed changes public. The changing status of vigilance shown by the presence of more police presence at airports and train stations.

A number of British local media reported a number of police have been asked to deploy additional forces along with the increasing security status.
